After finishing a fine second to Envoi Allen in the BetVictor Champion Chase at Down Royal, Noel Meade's Affordale Fury could next be seen at Thurles later this month.

Meade has the Listed Racing TV Club Day Chase on November 27th in mind for the Affinisea seven-year-old, who belied odds of 150/1 when second in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in 2023.

He just wasn't slick enough at his fences and just needs experience up against those classy horses.

Thurles option looks 'inviting'

"He's perfect after the run in Down Royal. He ran a very good race," the Tu Va handler reflected.

"He just wasn't slick enough at his fences and just needs experience up against those classy horses.

"He ran a cracker, and you couldn't but be pleased with him.

"We're not quite sure where he will go although there is a race in Thurles near the end of the month which looks inviting. It's a 2m6f Listed chase."
