Aintree An Option For Salmon

Cheltenham Gold Cup flop Beef Or Salmon is being considered for the Betfair Bowl at Aintree next month.

Despite being sent off the 4-1 favourite for the blue riband at Prestbury Park, Michael Hourigan's 10-year-old could only finish 11th behind War Of Attrition.

Beef Or Salmon has taken his race well, however, and could have two more outings this season ? including a trip over to Liverpool for the Grade Two contest on April 6.

'Beef or Salmon seems none the worse for his run at Cheltenham and will probably have two more runs before he goes on his summer break,' said Hourigan.

'As well as the Aintree race there is the Irish Grand National and the Guinness Gold Cup to consider.

'The ground will certainly be a factor when it comes to finalising plans,' the County Limerick trainer told the Racing Post.
