Aintree Bid For Krug Arkle Trophy runner-up Kruguyrova is likely to try to go one better at Aintree next month. The Charlie Egerton-trained mare is being aimed at the John Smith´s Maghull Novices´ Chase on Grand National day, April 5. The five-year-old French import showed she was one of the best two-mile novices around when splitting Tidal Bay and Noland at the Cheltenham Festival. "She´s fine and will probably go to Liverpool. She´s in good form and the plan is to go there," said the Newbury trainer. Kruguyrova has yet to finish out of the first two in six starts over fences in this country, winning three times including the Kingmaker Novices´ Chase at Warwick last month. (C) PA Sport
