By Sea The Stars out of the high-class Alpha Centauri, the beautifully bred filly finished well to take second at Leopardstown and made virtually all here in the hands of Ryan Moore. The 8/11 favourite asserted well over a furlong out and kept on strongly in the closing stages to beat stablemate Ibelieveicanfly by six lengths with Livenka a further two and a quarter lengths away in third. Winning trainer Aidan O’Brien said, “Ryan was very excited about her. She looks lovely. She’ll come back here for the Debutante. “She’s unusual. Ryan said when he started to ask her from three that he thought she went faster from the three to the two, then faster from the two to the one and then faster from the one to the line. “She’s a big, powerful, filly. She’s lovely and relaxed. “She had a lovely run first time and we were going to go to the Chesham with her but then the other horse won here first time (Aix La Chapelle) and we let him go instead of her and he got taken out at the stalls. “If definitely wasn’t the wrong choice for this filly because it’s all gradual for her.
