Answered could drop in trip after his brave run in the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan on Sunday.

Jim Bolger's four-year-old looked like getting the better of Forgotten Rules at one stage only for Dermot Weld's unbeaten stayer to show his class deep inside the final furlong.

Answered was running over a mile and six furlongs for the first time and Bolger feels his charge may be better over shorter.

"Answered ran a very good race. I am not sure whether he stays 14 furlongs or not," Bolger said.

"There are no plans at the moment but I am more inclined to go back in trip with him."
