Arc prep in Turkey for Youmzain?

Mick Channon's Youmzain may have an outing in Turkey before having another crack at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The jet-setting seven-year-old has famously finished second in the Longchamp showpiece for the last three years behind some of the recent greats of the game, Dylan Thomas, Zarkava and Sea The Stars.

With Harbinger having already fallen by the wayside, Channon can barely wait for October to come around and with Youmzain in such good heart the Bosphorus Cup may even come into calculations.

"He's in great form and it's just a question of keeping a lid on him until Paris," said Channon.

"He's so well in himself that we've even slung him in the Bosphorus Cup at the start of September to keep our options open because I don't want him too fresh.

"That's probably a mischievous entry though because it's all about the Arc in October, but he's never been to Turkey!

"As the sad loss of Harbinger from the line up tells you, you need to be there on the day and we've been lucky enough to be able to deliver our lad at his peak for three years running now. I couldn't be happier with him," he told his website.
