Arcs Set For Busy Spell Les Arcs is set to fly the flag for Britain along with Benbaun in the Sprinter's Stakes in Japan on Sunday. The valuable contest has long been on the agenda of the former, who goes into the race seeking his third successive victory after landing the Golden Jubilee Stakes and July Cup on his last two starts. After taking his chance in this weekend's event, Les Arcs will return to handler Tim Pitt's yard before making another long-distance trip to Hong Kong to contest another leg of the Global Sprint Challenge on December 10.The team could have elected to fly straight to Hong Kong after this weekend's race, but that would mean Pitt's charge would be forced to spend a 30-day spell in quarantine before being allowed to return to England. 'We didn't really want to do that because we thought it would take the edge off Les Arcs,' explained the handler.'I can't wait to see the horse because my staff can't believe how well he has settled into his new surroundings.'It looks like being an interesting race with Takeover Target and She Is Tosho, the filly who beat him in the Centaur Stakes, entered,' he told The Sportsman.(C) PA Sport
