Arctic Steps a popular local O'Sullivan Naas winner Local trainer Ross O'Sullivan was amongst the winners as Arctic Steps stayed on strongly under Patrick McGettigan to land the Danny Trundle Heating & Plumbing Handicap at Naas. Sent off 10/1 in the colours of Ms Amanda Torrens, the four-year-old was prominent throughout on the far side of the track and found plenty in the closing stages to hold off Nouvel Espoir by half-a-length. O'Sullivan's second runner Stone Bear kept on nicely under Siobhan Rutledge to take third. Assistant Trainer Tom Harney said: "That was great. She is a tough little filly and, has been very consistent on her last couple of runs. Great for Amanda, she's a great supporter of the yard. That young man gave her a lovely ride. He's shaping up to be a nice little rider and, he was good and strong on her there. "He was impressed with her and, said she was gutsy to the line."
