Twomey was making it an amazing seven winners from his last eight runners as Arouet, available at 4/1 overnight and supported on track from 10/11 into 4/6, landed the odds in the hands of Daniel King. The Galiway gelding challenged the front-running Karlynn after two out but after a slight mistake at the last, just got the better of that rival in the closing stages to score by two and a quarter lengths. Sestini made a promising Irish debut finishing just a length further back in third.
