Satellite channel At The Races has announced it has extended its deal to exclusively show non-terrestrial coverage of Irish racing for another two years.

The agreement, with rights holder SIS, means the deal is confirmed until 2019.

Coverage from the 26 Irish tracks has been on At The Races since the channel launched in 2004.

The terms of the new agreement also include the distribution of live online streaming to remote gambling operators.

Matthew Imi, Chief Executive of At The Races, said: "Irish Racing has always been a cornerstone of At The Races output. We quite deliberately set out to give it the prominence and exposure it deserves.

"The record numbers of Irish winners at both Cheltenham and Royal Ascot this year show just how strong the sport is in Ireland so we are delighted to be able to showcase it on a daily basis with live coverage of every Irish fixture and editorial and promotion across our platform.

"For ATR, this agreement extends what is a very valued and long standing relationship not only with SIS but with HRI (Horse Racing Ireland), AIR (Association of Irish Racecourses) and each Irish racecourse."
