Ado McGuinness reports Go Athletico in fine form as he bids for another big handicap pot at the Irish Champion Festival.

The seven-year-old has already been in the money this season, landing the 100,000euro Scurry Handicap at the Curragh on Irish Oaks Day.

He returns to the Kildare venue now, with the 150,000euro Bold Lad Sprint Handicap on the agenda this time.

"He had a gallop in Leopardstown last week and he'll gallop again this weekend,” said McGuinness.

"It is all systems go and he is in very good form.

"I think he will love it (rain) - I don't think we are going to have very fast ground there by the looks of it, there will be an ease in it anyway. I think it will be a huge factor for him.

"We’re hoping for a big run from him."
