Avellino bids for Listed glory at Sandown Dermot McLoughlin isn't concerned about the prospect of testing conditions when Avellino tries her luck in the EBF British Stallion Studs & TBA Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Sandown on Saturday. The five-year-old chased home the Willie Mullins-trained gelding Lucky Pass on her racecourse debut and has since struck gold at Down Royal and Fairyhouse. "She seems to have travelled over well," said the County Meath-based trainer. "It's always a worry when you take them across the water for the first time, but she seems in good nick. "She's won in very bad ground in Ireland, so I don't think conditions will be any trouble to her. "Noel (McParlan) takes 5lb off her, which is a help and we'll see what happens. "They're all there to beat."
