Await The Dawn wins with the minimum of fuss Await The Dawn (8-11 favourite) was an impressive winner of the Betfair Huxley Stakes at Chester. Ryan Moore, winning his second big race on successive day for Aidan O'Brien, was content to track the pacesetting Distant Memories for much of the contest. He pushed his partner to the front turning for home and the son of Giant's Causeway strode out well to score by four-and-a-half lengths. Distant Memories (6-1) held on for second ahead of Frankie Dettori and Forte Dei Marmi. The winning rider told Channel Four Racing:: "We went a proper gallop and this horse travelled and stayed on very well." Paul Smith, representing the owners, said: "We're delighted and we'll probably step him up now. "We'll look at Royal Ascot and something like the Hardwicke or the Prince of Wales's."
