Ayr goes ahead after inspection This afternoon's meeting at Ayr will go ahead after the track passed a morning inspection. Clerk of the course Emma Marley had planned to check conditions at 7.15am but an earlier assessment showed there to be no problems at the track. She said: "We had only six millimetres of rain last night and there's a risk of showers today. "The wind is pretty strong this morning but it is forecast to be easing by lunchtime and to settle down this afternoon."
