BLEU IN GAME SPIRIT Edredon Bleu was the surprise name among the entries revealed today for Saturday`s Mitsubishi Shogun Game Spirit Chase at Newbury. The Grade Two contest was reopened until this morning after only seven horses were entered on Monday, with maiden chaser Augusta Brook the sole horse added to the line-up. Edredon Bleu missed a possible outing at Sandown last Saturday because of heavy ground and was expected to go straight to Cheltenham for the Queen Mother Champion Chase. But there is a chance that the nine-year-old may run on Saturday if the weather allows. Miss Knight said today: 'There is a vague chance he will run in, it depends on the weather - he won`t run if it`s desperate. 'It`s the same old story really, we`re just in the lap of the gods. 'It is a possibility but I haven`t spoken to his owner (Jim Lewis) yet and I hope to speak to him later today.' Flagship Uberalles and Function Dream are already confirmed as intended runners in the Game Spirit, whileTiutchev is more likely to run at Ascot seven days later. The remaining entries are Celibate, Kurakka and Super Coin. The weather will also determine plans for two of Miss Knight`s other Cheltenham hopefuls, Lord Noelie and Hati Roy. Lord Noelie, who unseated Jim Culloty in the Pillar Property Chase at Cheltenham last time, is in the Aon Chase, while the unbeaten Hati Roy is in the cantorindex.com Novices` Chase. 'The same comments on the weather apply to my other two runners Hati Roy and Lord Noelie,' Miss Knight added. 'Lord Noelie will run if it is soft but he won`t if the ground turns to heavy. 'He`s very, very well and I`d like to give him a run. 'The novice chase is looking like a Cheltenham race.' The trainer also had news of Best Mate, impressive winner of the Weatherbys Scilly Isles Novices` Chase at Sandown on Saturday. 'Best Mate is very well, he was bouncing around the paddock this morning,' she said.
