Ballymoreen upsets Mullins' hotpot in Wexford bumper Ballymoreen (9/2) battled back to upset 1/3 favourite Lady Lena in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race at Wexford.  Adam Ryan's mount led leaving the back straight on the final circuit but was headed by the market leader entering the final furlong. The daughter of Malinas, trained by Mark Quigley for Donal and Kevin Barry, was not to be denied, though, and rallied to score by a head.  Quigley said: "She is a lovely mare to ride and is well balanced. She's a dream to ride at home and is a lovely mare to do anything with.   "We knew that there was a big run in her and she pulled it off today, she battled. Any day you beat one of Willie's, you know you have something!  "She ran well the first day at Thurles when she was with Tim Cleary and we didn't make enough use of her the last day in Fairyhouse.   "The owners are Tipperary boys and it's great to see anyone who breeds a horse put them in training. They have something nice to go forward with now.  "I'll talk to the owners, but she'll probably go over hurdles. She is a proper hurdling mare and is tough. "She is a big mare and we'll give her a chance now and see what happens after that.   Qiuigley, based in Ballacolla Co Laois, added: "We have 10 to 12 in the whole time. We have a few point-to-pointers and one for the Flat. Hopefully now we'll get some more out of it."  Additional reporting by Donal Murphy
