Bay Bouncing

South African handler Mike De Kock is looking forward to saddling former John Smith's Cup winner Mullins Bay in the Godolphin Mile at Nad Al Sheba tomorrow.

Successful in the 2005 renewal with Grand Emporium, De Kock hopes his six-year-old can repeat the trick after recovering from an injury.

'He got over his last setback very, very well,' De Kock explained.

'In fact, he has never actually missed a day's training during the Carnival as during the two weeks he couldn't work on the track he was swimming.

'He has worked quite hard for the past few weeks and looks exceptional.'

Mullins Bay was with Aidan O'Brien when enjoying his most lucrative success in the John Smith's Cup in 2005 and ran once for John Hammond late last year.

The son of Machiavellian was making his first appearance in Dubai and for De Kock when chasing home World Cup challenger Kandidate last month.
