Bee A Beneficiary toughs it out by a pair of short heads Bee A Beneficiary (12/1) just prevailed in a three-way go for the line at the end of the extended three mile handicap hurdle in Kilbeggan. The seven-year-old mare battled it out with Ourmanmassini on the run-in but Randall's Aoibhinn flew home on the outer to make it a three-way thrust for the line. It was Bee A Beneficiary in the middle who got home by a short head under Donagh Meyler from Randall's Aoibhinn (25/1) with Ourmanmassini (7/1) the same distance away in third on the inside. Trainer Declan Queally said: “She had been keen before and we were running her over shorter distances to help her settle, it seems to have worked. “Donagh, in fairness, gave her a brilliant ride. “It's nice for her owner (John Kiely) as he bred her. She's the last one out of Windy Bee, who was a black-type mare. All of them won so it's nice she's won now for him. He'll be at home thrilled watching this.” I Keano suffered a fatal injury after being swiftly pulled up when in contention before the home bend. Additional reporting by Gary Carson
