The Kevin Prendergast-trained Beach Belle swooped inside the final furlong to run out a cosy winner of the Coolmore Stud EBF Fillies Sprint Stakes at Naas.

The 15/8 favourite came with a strong run to challenge at the furlong pole and was on top in the closing stages to record a three-parts victory over Realtra

The Lady O'Reilly-owned daugher of Invincible Spirit was maintaining her 100 per cent record having scored on her debut at the Curragh back in March.

“She's a very good filly. She probably won't run until the Phoenix Stakes or the Moyglare. We'll go that way instead of travelling,” said Prendergast.

“You could get very fast ground at Ascot and I wouldn't like to run her on hard ground.

“We've never had her on ground as quick at that before but she travelled well and it made no difference.

“They went very slow and she was free early on but Chris said when he met the rising ground he was never in any doubt he was going to win.”
