Bellini bids to give McGuinness more Bubbly Bubbly Bellini bids to provide North Dublin trainer Ado McGuinness with yet another big prize when travelling over to York this afternoon for the Coral Sprint Trophy. Since starting off on his winning run from a mark of 51 at Limerick in June, the five-year-old has risen more than 40lb in the weights by scoring four more times, including two Premier Handicaps at the Curragh. The most recent of those came a fortnight ago and the Lusk trainer knows he must make the most of him, as Bubbly Bellini is likely to end up in the horses in training sales. "It's hard enough to win one premier handicap, but he's managed two of them," said McGuinness. "It's just one of those things with sprinters. He's five years of age, but sometimes they can just improve. "He's at the right end of the weights for this race and it's a big prize. He doesn't want it too soft, although he won on heavy ground the last day, and I think we can go there expecting a big run. He went over on Thursday night and the boys say he has settled in well." On a possible dispersal by owner Gary Devlin, McGuinness said: "He's still in the sales and I think he will go there, as he's worth a bit now and sometimes you have to sell when you're a small stable like mine. Fingers crossed he makes himself a bit more valuable after this!" With nearly £47,000 available to the winner, a strong field has assembled on the Knavesmire including Rous Stakes and Portland winner Doc Hay, William Haggas' progressive three-year-old Heeraat and Mass Rally, who finally got his head in front in the Ayr Silver Cup.
