Benbaun Has Naas On Agenda Mark Wallace´s Benbaun is unlikely to line up for betfair.com Temple Stakes at Sandown next week with a trip to Ireland now on the cards. The Newmarket handler is considering a return to the Naas Sprint Stakes on June 6, in which his stable star was just touched off by Osterhase last year. Benbaun won three times in a busy 2004 season but has been given plenty of time to recover and Wallace does not want to pitch him in too high on his first start this term. 'It´s all up in the air at the moment, as there is Sandown and a week later there is a Group Three at Chantilly and then the race at Naas, but he wants fast ground,' he said. 'He´s come on a nice bit since last year and I think he will make a decent sprinter. 'His form was good against the older horses, and we were going to start him out in the Palace House at Newmarket, but we have taken our time with him. 'It´s more than likely he will go to Naas first and then there is a race in Italy. 'We´ll be keeping him at Listed and Group Three level first and I would want to avoid the top sprinters for the moment at least.' ? PA Sport
