The concluding race on this evening’s card, the Fairways Hotel Race & Stay Package Handicap saw Fran Berry aboard Luttrell Lady come home in front making it a four timer for the jockey.
A delighted O’Donnell said afterwards: “Fair play to Fran it was he who suggested putting cheek pieces on her and they obviously make a huge difference.”
“We gave her a long break off over the Summer with a specific aim of running her here over the winter when it was obvious we weren’t going to get a good Summer.”
“Hopefully we can build from this and Mr O’Gorman (Flat Handicapper) won’t be too hard on us.”
Berry's earlier winner’s came with the Eddie Lynam trained Boo Boo Bear and Virgil Caine from the Charles O'Brien stable and Sunwise for his boss John Oxx.
