Berry goes favourite for Jockeys' Title Fran Berry now heads the market to be this year's Irish Champion Jockey ahead of his two main rivals Johnny Murtagh and Pat Smullen. Ladbrokes are now 6/4 about John Oxx's stable jockey having been as high as 4/1 when the market opened in December. Murtagh and Smullen are each available at 7/4 with the bookmakers who report steady money for Berry. Hayley O'Connor of Ladbrokes commented " We were best price at 4/1 when we opened this market last December. Since then support for the all weather genius has been steady, but fully ignited with the return of the flat. Murtagh and Smullen have tough competition for this year's battle and Berry has some strong ammunition."
