Fran Berry was taken to hospital for assessment after a tumble at Doncaster.

Berry was unseated as he pulled up the Alan Bailey-trained Mrs Eve, who suffered a fatal injury, entering the straight.

He was taken to the medical room at the racecourse before going to hospital for further assessment.

"The horse was put down after being fatally injured. Fran has gone to Doncaster Royal Infirmary for assessment. He was conscious and walking," said Clerk of the Course Roderick Duncan.

Berry left Ireland this year to ride as stable jockey to Classic-winning trainer Ralph Beckett.
