Better ground can help Pallasator Pallasator could continue his education over hurdles at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting. The 2015 Doncaster Cup winner was far from straightforward during his days with Sir Mark Prescott, but behaved impeccably when making a successful start for Gordon Elliott in a charity race at Punchestown in the hands of Norman Williamson. He made his hurdling debut at Naas earlier this month and while he was ultimately well-beaten in fifth place, Elliott is confident the eight-year-old will make his mark over jumps in due course. "I was delighted with him (at Naas). The ground was just very heavy - probably heavier than he's ever ran on," the trainer told Racing UK. "He jumped well and behaved in the ring, so I think he's a horse that could win a nice race come the spring on a bit nicer ground. "He'll run in a maiden hurdle somewhere over Christmas, maybe Leopardstown on better ground. "It wouldn't surprise me to see him go to a better level over hurdles. He's a very high-class Flat horse."
