Betting down on day 2 at Listowel A modest crowd, very testing ground conditions and some tricky results were not suitable ingredients for a lively betting ring at Listowel this afternoon, and bookmaker turnover was hit severely as a consequence. The "ring" was down 22% at €299,224, compared with a turnover of €384,657 on day 2 of the Festival last year. The Tote fared marginally better, down 9.5% at €89,569 compared with an aggregate of €99,008 12 months ago.
