Big plans for Strawberry

Sir Michael Stoute's Strawberrydaiquiri is set to test the water at the highest level following her all-the-way win in the Windsor Forest Stakes last Wednesday.

The Renata Jacobs-owned grey recorded her sixth victory from just eight career appearances when making all the running at Royal Ascot, claiming her first triumph in Group Two company in the process.

The owner's racing manager Gary Coffey said: "It was a great experience and we were all thrilled with her.

"She's a very honest filly who always gives her best and she really put her best foot forward.

"Hopefully she can continue to do so and I think we have to be looking at a Group One for her now.

"We haven't decided where we're going to go with her yet. We've left her in the Pretty Polly at the Curragh this weekend but that will most likely come too soon.

"Races like the Falmouth Stakes and the Nassau Stakes would be on her radar, but we'll just see how she is and take it from there.

"Horses being horses you don't like to plan too far ahead, but everyone has been pleased with her since Ascot and she seems to have taken it well."

It turned out to be a fine week for Jacobs with her other Ascot representative, St Moritz, claiming third in the Royal Hunt Cup.

"He's a really good horse and we've always liked him," Coffey added.

"He just needed a bit of time last year so we didn't give him much racing.

"We just gave him an easy year and hopefully this season our patience will be rewarded.

"He's a horse who tries hard and has plenty of pace, so we might look at stepping up to Listed or Pattern class next time.

"All in all in was a fantastic week. As well as our two runners, we had two great results on behalf of Newsells Park Stud.

"We made an investment in part of Equiano before he won the King's Stand and he's probably going to retire to Newsells next year.

"We also bred the Gold Cup winner Rite Of Passage, so it was an amazing week."
