Big run expected from Brendan at Meydan Brendan Brackan makes his debut in the Middle East on the first night of the 2014 Dubai Carnival at Meydan on Thursday. The Group Three-winning five-year-old was last seen finishing second in a Listed race at Cork in October and returns in round one of the Longines-sponsored Al Maktoum Challenge. Trainer Ger Lyons said: "This horse has done nothing but improve and seems in great order. Obviously he has not been here long and we are basically running straight off the plane but we chose to do that as it has worked well for us in the past. We have a nice draw and expect a big run."
