Rachael Blackmore and Henry de Bromhead followed up a double at Tipperary yesterday evening by landing the opening Winner Alright Maiden Hurdle with Queen Jane at Downpatrick.

The daughter of Mahler was never too far from the pace and soon asserted after the final flight to justify odds of 7/2 by four lengths on her third start.

The front-running Will You Win took the runner-up spot with The Flier Begley in third.

The 11/8 favourite Wee Willie Nail looked a threat approaching the last but weakened quickly on the run-in to finish a soundly beaten fourth.

Rachael Blackmore was rushing off to make the trip down to the Curragh to ride Echoes In Rain but commented: "She did (return well off a break), she won very well and hopefully she'll have a good summer ahead."
