Rachael Blackmore rode the perfect waiting race from the front when guiding the Henry De Bromhead trained Ma Belle Etoile to an easy win in the Buy Tickets Online At www.corkracecourse.ie Rated Novice Hurdle at Cork.

With two non-runners seeing the field reduced to six; Blackmore sent her mount straight to the front, riding a tactical race from flag fall.

Traveling strongly on the daughter of Doyen turning into the home straight, the Tipperary woman extended her advantage after jumping three out.

With the other five riders hard at work approaching the penultimate flight, Blackmore was able to coast home on the bridle for a facile 12 length win.

A beaten odds-on favourite on her stable debut at Naas last month, the six-year-old had previously won a bumper for John and Thomas Kiely.

Winning rider Blackmore reported: "She jumped really well and it was great to get that done with her. She can be a little keen but she settled out in front today and her jumping was very good.

"Having her in front today made the difference and she was making ground at hurdles. She was very enjoyable to ride and was able to get things her own way out in front."
