Blenheim the call for Tamadhor Kevin Prendergast admits he looked for the easiest option for Tamadhor as she takes in the Listed Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital Blenheim Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday instead of a Group Three on the same card. The Sheikh Hamdan-owned filly could have run in the CL & MF Weld Park Stakes over a mile but Tamadhor will instead drop down to six furlongs, where of her six rivals only one other is a winner. Prendergast believes there is enough stamina in her pedigree to enable her to progress into a Classic contender next year, and is keen for her to sign off for this season on a winning note. "She was in the Park Stakes as well but that looks a tough race and on paper this looked a touch easier," he said. "I know she is dropping down in trip, but she was in front a furlong down last time at Leopardstown and she's got plenty of pace. "This will probably be her last run of the year, so I'm looking for her to go out on a winning note. "We'll bring her back in the spring, and I could easily see her developing into a Guineas horse. "She's out of an Indian Ridge mare and she's won over seven furlongs already." Aidan O'Brien's The Great War is the other winner and is joined by stablemate As Good As Gold, while Eddie Lynam runs Ortiga and the newcomer Byzantium.
