Blissful Bonita makes it an across-the-card double for Cromwell The Gavin Cromwell-trained Blissful Bonita (5/2) was the winner of the 'Racing Here on the 12th November Handicap' for rider Gary Carroll, giving Cromwell an across-the-card double as Asthelightdeclines was victorious earlier in Tramore. It was a brilliant duel in the straight with the Dermot Weld-trained Glittering Gem and Blissful Bonita not giving an inch. It was Carroll who got the better of things on this occasion as he steered the daughter of Phoenix of Spain to a half-length success. Speaking after the race, race planner to Cromwell, Troy Cullen, said: "She is a lovely filly but has taken time and is still raw. I'd say she has plenty ability and you'd be hoping when she fills into her frame more, that she will keep on improving. "She is entered for next week so we'll see if she turns out under a penalty. "She stays really well and has schooled, so there was talk of going hurdling but might wait until next year. "Mark Coleman (owner), who is local to Gavin's, has a few horses with us and won a Listed chase with Me Wee Bonnie Lass last April. He is a good fellow, so it is nice to get him another winner."
