Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Bobs Worth is likely to go head to head with stablemate Long Run on his return at Haydock next month.

The Nicky Henderson-trained eight-year-old is set fair to make his seasonal debut in the Betfair Chase on November 23, which is also the intended first port of call for Long Run.

Should all go to plan, Bobs Worth will then surface in the Argento Chase at Cheltenham in January, after which he will attempt to retain his Gold Cup crown next March.

Part-owner Malcolm Kimmins said: "He's summered really, really well, and Nicky said he's even grown a little bit, which is very exciting.

"We are looking at Haydock as being his first major target, then on to the Argento, then back for the Gold Cup."
