He may be by Intikhab out of a Xaar mare but the four-year-old Sin Miedo is a natural at the jumping game as he showed when landing the Your Club's Fundraiser At Fairyhouse Enquire Today Beginners Chase under Mark Bolger.

Bolger had looked a winner at a stage in the previous race aboard eventual second Heavenly Brook and in this concluding two miler he was never far away on the easy-to-back 12/1 shot Sin Miedo.

Carrying the colours of winning trainer Jessica Harrington's late husband Johnny, Bolger allowed his mount hit the front before the third last.

Sin Miedo lost no momentum with a slight peck at the second last but The Bosses Cousin wasn't great there and it was the same for him at the last.

The winner seemed to get a bit lonely out in front on the run-in and in the end he just held the Patrick Mullins-ridden runner-up by a neck.

Well-backed favourite Lord Adare came to grief four out.

"I had a very willing partner and the experience he had showed there today. He travelled and he jumped and I was able to take it up going to the third last and he's galloped all the way to the line.

"The other horse was coming to me and getting to me and getting to me but my fella was just doing enough in front and I was always going to hold on. He was keeping a bit to himself.

"What will suit him is a good run race, maybe in the better chases with a light weight on his back. He might be ideal for the likes of that.

"It's great to ride a winner in these colours. Johnny supported me when I was a claimer and I rode a couple of good winners for him," reflected Bolger. (AM & EM)
