Bonus Time gets the job done in Naas opener Bonus Time made it two wins from four starts, as she justified 2/5 favouritism in the Ironxcell For Energy Race. A winner at the Curragh in May when in the care of Gavin Cromwell, the Too Darn Hot three-year-old was odds-on when beaten into second on her debut for Paddy Twomey and Bond Thoroughbred Limited at Leopardstown. Expected to make amends this afternoon, the 92-rated bay made all under Colin Keane and while pushed along from the two-furlong pole, she always appeared to have the measure of her rivals, ultimately coming home half-a-length to the good. In first time blinkers, Kodilicious (10/1) came home well, but never looked like overhauling the winner and finished a gallant second under Shane Foley for Jessica Harrington. "Her last run was her first run for us, and we tried seven in a handicap. She ran really well and Andy ( Oliver's) horse is a good horse that beat her just at the line. First time in a handicap carrying ten stone and I just thought the last 50 yards looked a long way, so we said we'd come back to six today," Twomey explained. "It looked a nice spot for her and I'm very happy how she did it. Colin looked after her and gave her a nice ride. "Colin said she could be dropped in and that she was waiting there in front. "We'll try to get some black type with her eventually and she might go to the Ebor meeting in York." Additional reporting by Alan Magee
