A change of tactics reaped rewards on St Brelades Bay in the six-furlong handicap at Naas.

Colm O'Donoghue tracked the leaders on Jessica Harrington's charge before sending his mount to the front at half-way.

The 12/1 shot stuck on well in the closing stages to record a half length success over Fast In The Wind

The winner was turning around Curragh form with Mr Right and Master Speaker who were first and second last time and third and fourth today.

“The last day in the Curragh the ground was a bit soft and we noticed that he hated it in behind and wouldn't go between horses,” said Harrington.

“I said to Colm to get him out today and ride it like a piece of work. He made his mind up for him. With three furlongs to go he went for him and he came back on it. He stayed at it well.

“I knew he had the ability. The straight six suited great today.”
