Brilliant St James's Palace in prospect Three Classic winners will clash in Tuesday's St James's Palace Stakes after Galileo Gold, Awtaad and The Gurkha were all declared for the Group One heat at Royal Ascot. Winners of the English, Irish and French 2,000 Guineas respectively, the trio will face off over a mile in what promises to be an epic battle. Kevin Prendergast's Awtaad and the Hugo Palmer-trained Galileo Gold are old adversaries having finished first and second at the Curragh while Aidan O'Brien's The Gurkha represents a fresh challenge. Simon Crisford's First Selection was second to The Gurkha at Deauville and he takes his chance again, while Charlie Appleby takes the wraps off Emotionless, who missed the Classics as his trainer felt he was not quite ready for action. Newmarket Guineas sixth Zonderland takes his chance for Clive Cox after securing a Sandown Listed event last time out while Owen Burrows' Ehtiraas and John Gosden's Cymric complete the eight-strong line-up.
