Noel Kelly's Bringsty brought up plenty of bets when taking the extended nine-furlong handicap at Gowran Park.

He was available at 12s in the morning and was supported down to 4/1 favourite.

The seven-year-old gelding regained the lead outside the final two furlongs and got into a lovely rhythm in the final furlong to prevail by a length and a-quarter. Captain Ciano finished second at 20/1 while Breathe Again came home third.

Jockey Sam Coen said: “It worked out lovely. He always jumps very well, we took a lead today and he travelled strongly into the race.

“He took me there and I thought I might have got there too soon but he kicked on again when I got stuck into him. He’s done it well in the end.

“He stays out really well and I had a job pulling him up. Maybe over hurdles a bit further is going to be no harm to him.”

Kelly also had a winner in Tramore on Monday with Our Zebo.
