Brittain Considering Shumaal Options Impressive recent Sandown winner Bahar Shumaal could be supplemented for the Budweiser Irish Derby on June 26, although trainer Clive Brittain promises there will be more to come next season. A son of Dubai Millennium, the colt was just beaten on his debut but followed up by three and a half lengths at the Esher track last month and is entered in next week´s King Edward VII Stakes. Brittain told At The Races: 'He´s working on Friday and a certain decision will be made but he could well be supplemented for the Irish Derby and go direct for that. 'That´s certainly on the cards but we feel we´ve got a star in the making and he´s coming along in leaps and bounds. 'He´s a gentle giant and I think he´ll be challenging the best as a four-year-old.' (C) PA Sport
