Brown Panther doubtful for Irish St Leger Michael Owen has tweeted this afternoon that Brown Panther, his intended runner in Sunday's GAIN Irish St. Leger has a temperature. Owen tweeted: "Desperate News. Just off the phone to Tom Dascombe (trainer) who informs me that Brown Panther has a temperature and hasn't eaten anything today." Brown Panther was a close third to Royal Diamond in the race last year and has won his two most recent races including last month's running of the Group2 Goodwood Cup. He was a 5/1 chance with Paddy Power for Sunday's race.
