Rookie trainer Rory Devine won with consecutive runners in recent days today, landing Punchestown's William Hill Challenge Series Handicap Hurdle with gambled Build A Bridge (morning 14s — 11/4f).

Ridden by Danny Mullins for the So Be It Syndicate, Build A Bridge today debuted for Devine and, having raced prominently, scored readily by four and a half lengths from Silly Mongoose .

Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow-based Devine, who sent out his first runners in May 2025 and was recording a sixth success, reported “Build A Bridge did that lovely and it was his first run for me. He had a few little problems when he came, which we sorted, and his homework was very good lately. We're delighted with that.

“He's in again at Limerick on Saturday, so we'll see how he comes out of this. We'll see how he is in the morning and make a decision after that."

Devine's previous runner Antrim Coast had scored at Fairyhouse on Saturday.
