Bull And Danger Head Voltigeur Market

Papal Bull and Soapy Danger have been installed as 5-2 joint-favourites with the sponsors for Tuesday's Ladbrokes Great Voltigeur Stakes at York.

The Group Two event is traditionally regarded as a leading St Leger trial and 11 of the horses entered are still engaged in the final Classic of the season, which will be run at York this term while Doncaster is redeveloped.

Papal Bull, winner of the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot, is as low as 11-2 with Coral for the Leger while Soapy Danger is a 7-2 chance with William Hill following his Princess of Wales's Stakes win at Newmarket.

The former is one of two possibles for Sir Michael Stoute along with Stage Gift while Aidan O'Brien has a four-strong entry headed by Dante Stakes winner Septimus.

Red Rocks, second to Papal Bull at Ascot, is a notable entry for trainer Brian Meehan, while Mick Channon has both Championship Point and Youmzain engaged.

Marcus Tregoning has Jadalee in the race but has hinted he may bypass a run at York. Outsiders Sienna Storm and The Last Drop complete the 13 possibles.
