Dodging Bullets remains on course to make his belated reappearance in next month's Betfair Price Rush Chase at Newbury.

The eight-year-old was the undoubted star of the two-mile chasing division last season for champion trainer Paul Nicholls, winning the Tingle Creek at Sandown and Ascot's Clarence House Chase before completing his hat-trick in the Queen Mother at Cheltenham.

He has not been seen in competitive action since his Festival triumph last March, but is nearing a comeback.

Nicholls said: "Dodging Bullets is going very well at home. He is fine he has been working super hard.

"He will be going for the Game Spirit at Newbury and we have six weeks to get him ready for that."

The master of Ditcheat also provided updates on Coral Cup winner Aux Ptits Soins and last month's impressive Newbury scorer Clan Des Obeaux.

He said: "Aux Ptits Soins is coming back on Monday. He has got over some serious little problems. The World Hurdle is the plan and we've got time to get him right but he still has a way to go.

"Clan Des Obeaux has been absolutely fine since winning at Newbury. He will go to Cheltenham for trials day (January 30) for the juvenile hurdle."
