Buntline bidding for more Grand Annual runner-up Ned Buntline bids to go one better in the Coolmore Stud Novice Chase at Fairyhouse on Sunday. Noel Meade's charge, sent off the 6-1 joint-favourite at Cheltenham, stormed home on the run-in to snatch second behind compatriot Savello. He had previously been turned over when a short price at Naas and aims to avenge that defeat by the consistent Mallowney. "He ran a good race in Cheltenham and you'd have to be happy as he hadn't much experience for a race like that," said Meade. "I think he handles soft ground also, but he handled the ground at Cheltenham so good ground is OK. I wouldn't say he'd want it too quick, but it should be all right on Sunday." Meade also saddles Gigginstown gelding Road To Riches, who bids to bounce back after a couple of disappointing runs. He makes his first start since finishing a tailed-off last of four behind Djakadam at Leopardstown in January, having previously pulled up at the same venue over Christmas in Grade One company. "He might prefer the better ground but he's a bit hard to weight up - some days he looks great," said Meade. "I'm not sure about the trip. He looked to get run off his feet the last time he ran over two miles and he probably wants a shade further, but he's in good form. He was in the Powers Gold Cup, but that looked very hot so he got rerouted here."
