Burke set for speedy return Jonathan Burke is expected to return to action later in the week after escaping injury in a fall at Tramore on Sunday. The retained rider for Alan and Ann Potts came to grief when Coolbane West fell in the Tramore Family Fun Afternoon Maiden Hurdle. Initial reports suggested Burke needed an X-ray on his thumb, but his agent Garry Cribbin has confirmed no scan was required and he is just a bit sore after a couple of falls recently. The jockey had also suffered a fall aboard Some Tikket in the Topham Chase at Aintree last Friday but bounced back the next day to claim Grade One glory on Sizing Granite in the Doom Bar Maghull Novices' Chase. "He's just sore. It is a combination of the fall in the Topham and the fall yesterday, but he's perfectly fine," said Cribbin. "He'll be back either at Limerick on Wednesday or Tipperary on Friday. I spoke to him last night and this morning and he's 100 per cent."
