The Gordon Elliott-trained So Des Flos partnered by Charlotte Butler, just got the better of Klarc Kent by a neck in the Fred Kenny Ladies National Handicap Chase.

The latter, ridden by Jody Townend for Willie Mullins, was prominent throughout like the eventual winner but wasn't helped by a peck on landing three out and couldn't quite peg back So Des Flos (9/1) after that one gained a narrow lead at the second-last.

“She gave him a great ride and he jumped like a buck for him the whole way,” said Elliott.

“She's a daughter of Johnny Butler who trains in England. She won on him in December and started to come in and ride out a morning a week with me. I'm delighted for her.

“It's great to win Fred Kenny's race as well.”
