Byron set for Minstrel Stakes on Sunday Tom Hogan intends to let Gordon Lord Byron run in the Friarstown Stud Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. The seven-year-old bounced back to winning form in a Listed race at the Curragh last month, though he will be stepping back up in trip for the seven-furlong Group Three. "He's in great form and it's definitely the plan to let him take his chance," said the County Tipperary handler. "The ground was quick enough there the last day and he handled it well, so a drop of rain isn't a necessity."
