Caffu Zafeen rattles off the hat-trick Paul Flynn's Caffu Zafeen (6/4f) brought up his hat-trick in good style in the BAR 1 Betting 'Download Our App' Handicap at Dundalk. The five-year-old gelding has struck a rich vein of form since obliging at Fairyhouse in September before following up four days later in Dundalk. Shay Wallace was on board both of those victories over six furlongs and he was also in the plate on this drop back in trip to five furlongs. He was inconvenienced leaving the stalls as Bye Bye Now edged right, but Wallace soon had him into stride in mid-division. The pair improved to lead inside the final furlong and readily asserted to score by a length and a half from Blue Anthem (5/2) with Subiaco (18/1) back in third. Wallace said: "The bends are helping him a lot. It was nice to find that out in Fairyhouse the first day! "It is good to know that he is able to handle Dundalk and hopefully he can keep progressing from this. "No, I wasn't overly concerned (dropping back to five furlongs) as you saw there, he is well able to run over that trip. He is able to lie up with them as he has that good early speed. "Hopefully he will be as competitive in the 70 (grade)."
