Caffu collects again for Flynn and Wallace Caffu Zafeen justified strong support when winning his second race of the week, at Dundalk this evening. Paul Flynn’s charge had opened his account at Fairyhouse on Monday and was backed, from 5/1 this morning into 8/11 favourite at the off, to follow up. Shay Wallace was again in the plate, in the six furlong handicap, and drove his mount into the lead over a furlong from home. The Exceed And Excel gelding stayed on well in the closing stages to post a length-and-a-half victory over Firewalker. Wallace said afterwards: "He has improved again. In fairness, once he got his head in front on Monday, I think that has helped his confidence a lot. "He has just done the same thing - he has travelled well; he has picked them off at the '2' (pole) and hit the line well. "There's not a bother on him; he's kind of a straightforward horse. I'd say there is a bright future for him, hopefully. "Hopefully they can knock a bit of sport out of him (in Dundalk)." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
