Caim Hill and Kiely enjoy Limerick again

For the second year in-a-row Caim Hill and Richie Kiely took the plaudits in the two mile qualified riders’ race at Limerick. Drive Time the 13/8 favourite, set out to make all under Katie Walsh, but were headed a furlong out by Caim Hill who fended off his rival by a length.

He won at 6/1 from 11s this morning. The arrival of the rain would have been welcomed by Philip Fenton’s charge.

Drive Time, coming off a break of 272 days, had to settle for second, three lengths in front of Shop DJ and Jane Mangan.

This was Caim Hill’s third win at Limerick racecourse and the 12th win of the 10-year-old’s career.
